Fresh: With TOY TOY and Truth's resident DJ

It’s Monday, you still hear that faint bassline and snare you fell in love with over the weekend ringing in your ears, feeling as if you’ve just run the comrades from dancing all weekend. Mondays – We do a series dubbed ‘Fresh’ that showcases an artist that’s stirring things up a bit with their sounds and sets played around South Africa. This edition we got hold of Jo-Burg based DJ Andi Dill and asked if he would do an exclusive mixtape for us.

Resident DJ at one of South Africa’s long-standing dance institutes Truth since 2007, Andi has played an integral part in the success of the popular and pioneering Upstairs at the club. Forging his way forward in the scene, just recently Andi has managed to secure a residency at one of Jo-Burg's most well-respected nights we know as TOY TOY, that coupled with the Truth gig and the numerous bills you can find Andi's name on, his sound, if it hasn't already is making it's way into your ears.

The artists that play at TOY TOY are of the highest calibre that we have in South Africa and the fact that Andi holds a residency there, demonstrates the fact that he is most certainly a force to be reckoned with behind the decks, hence we wanted a mix from the man himself for the Fresh series.

Andi has played alongside top-shelf DJ’s like Richie Hawtin, Barem, Federico Molinari, Konrad Black, Bill Patrick and Bruno Pronsato among others, completely holding his own and delivering a quality set that will have anyone on the floor having a boogy in no time. Andi is a well-respected DJ in the industry with his name not uncommon on the shores around South Africa and with a professional attitude and an in-depth knowledge of the music he plays, of which he's got, the momentum behind Andi is going to take him places.
