When the words "Shipping and Handling" are involved in the pitch for any new musical product you know it's time to run for the hills.
If you were upset with Flo Rida for backing out of a contractual obligation to play at Australia's "Fat As Butter" festival or using the key components of many of electronic music's hits like Avicii's "Levels," Infinity Ink's "Infinity," or Bingo Players'"Cry" to create his own derivative works, all will surely be now be forgiven. Why you ask? Because Flo was using the time not spent creating his own original work to team up with the creators of a 3-year-old product to rerelease it. It's a shameless attempt to capitalize on the vacuous quest for fame America is now witnessing as EDM continues its march towards dominance in pop culture.

Beamz is essentially a Toys R Us caliber descendant of the Laser Harp that allows anyone with limbs (or a breathing straw) to flail about and trigger prerecorded samples and "be a star" of their next "party or family gathering." Because who doesn't want to go Back2Back with Grandma after Thanksgiving Football wraps up this year?
Beamz is magical though, there's simply no denying it. If you look at the time lapse photos below you'll see that It converts geeky scientists (or chefs?) into cool sleeveless bros magically.
Although the website proclaims "There's no "wrong" way to play Beamz. It's setup for everyone to have fun making music, regardless of experience with traditional instruments," we would counter that's exactly the problem.
Beamz is a hit at nursing homes too! Check out this five-star review on Amazon entitled "Range and Motion:"
Beamz lets you play along with the usual suspects like Rock, Pop, EDM and Hip-Hop but what you might not have seen coming (but Flo did) was the ability to skillessly create and perform Classical, Country and "any kind of music that moves you."
