The Swedish Electronic Music duo we know as The Knife are this week’s edition of Pulse series The Blend. The Knife, duo from Stockholm, formed in 1999, the collective that was formed by siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer who are together also the owners of their own record company Rabid Records.
It was since their album Deep Cuts that was released back in 2003 that they started to get a promising international response. What was interesting about The Knife was that they weren’t particularly keen on working with the media, well at least not until 2006 when they started to perform live concerts.

You’ll also notice that most press pics and features done on the duo they’ll be donning bird-beaked masks maintaining a certain level of mystery that seems to work really well with their sound. One could almost go as far to say that the ominous sound and haunting vocals that you find in ‘Colouring of Pigeons’ promotes this urge to hide behind a mask and get somewhat ominous yourself. April this year was their latest release dubbed ‘Shaking the Habitual’ since seven years ago when they put out ‘Silent Shout’.
