The Hoof are set to explode into our atmosphere once again as they bring their boldest, loudest and most experimental album yet. After rumoured to have vanished off the face of planet earth, they were merely burrowing away and working on new music (or as an official transmission states, "The Ungulate is ready to emerge from the self-imposed hibernation cube and proclaim its right to exist!").
The new album sees founder Leo Smee bringing in a raft of new members and special guests, including Shinghai of The Noisettes, Alex Thomas (live drummer for Air & Squarepusher) and long term vocalist Chantelle Brown.
Their sound crosses boundaries of jazz structure, prog rock, operatic performance and electronic production. Reportedly taking them 18 months to record their 3rd album, it follows on from previous LPs Crush Depth and Pre-Emptive False Rapture and their highly praised, visually arresting live show, which saw them culminate with a 21 piece version for London's Barbican art centre.
