Melbourne indie-dance outfit Cut Copy have announced their upcoming fourth studio album, 'Free Your Mind' will be released on November 1 through Modular.
The four piece had recorded the follow up to 2011's Grammy nominated 'Zonoscope' in their hometown of Melbourne and enlisted frontman Dan Whitford for production duties, although a move to upstate New York saw the album mixed by none other than Dave Fridmann, who has previously lent his mixing prowess to the likes of Tame Impala, MGMT and The Flaming Lips.
However the band have taken some unorthodox approaches to leaking their own tracks including cutting album track 'Let Me Show You Love' into a limited 120 dubplates for lucky fans who happened to be in the right place at the right time. For the title track, the band placed 6 billboards across the world (Australia, the UK, Chile, Mexico City, Detroit and the California Desert) and fans were able to listen to the song via their smartphones on the bands website; check it out below.
