The world of YouTube can be a strange place to visit. Millions upon millions of us upload videos daily, from the damn right weird to the inexplicably wonderful. There’s something on offer for every outlandish venture you wish to undertake; from talking dogs to hysterical sleeping babies. However, they don’t come much stranger than the one’s we’ve got here. Welcome to YoutTube’s seven trippiest videos, ever, as selected by sickchirpse.com - view them below and read our own personal thoughts on these eccentric ventures.

Don't Hug Me, Im Scared

First up we have a creativity guru notepad, brought to you by This Is It Collective. Entitled ‘Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared’ this wonderfully weird video is a step by step guide on how to be creative. What starts out a rather sweet and almost educational video ends up plummeting into the world of surrealist horror. The video has racked up over 10,000,000 hits and is a parody of today’s childrens cartoons genre. This Is It Collective like to offer social commentaries and this is without a doubt their most successful. If you’re feeling a little on edge then we suggest pausing at around the two minute mark – things get a little too creative.

2AM

Now any video that involves a man dancing in a yellow suit at 2AM is bound to be made in a light hearted fashion, right? Well, maybe not. 2AM, created by Go For Broke Pictures, shows the more sinister side of early morning public dancing. 2AM has managed to attract over 1.5 million views in just two months and is well worth a watch. The next time you’re walking home from the rave alone and see a lonesome tap dancer, take caution from this video and run!

Orphic Oxtra: Skeletons Having Sex On A Tin Roof.

Yes you read it right and if the name wasn’t a big enough clue of the weirdness to come then just you wait until you press play. With not a single reference to the songs name in the actual video you would be forgiven if you can’t quite get your head around this one. In short: a leotard-dressed girl dances in a wildly 70’s fashion whilst flying through space and other locations around earth. Her overpowering grin and creepy stare are enough to keep you fixated to the screen throughout. Not one to watch if you have a funny disposition to bouts suggestive dancing and glassy stares.

Near

Our fourth selection is bordering on insanity. Basic animation, basic plot but my god is it effective.

Noel Fieldings Luxury Comedy - The Jelly Fox

This comes from a realm of weirdness you are familiar with. That world of brilliantly bizarre broadcasting brought to you by Noel Fielding and his overuse of narcotics. Luxury Comedy was actually broadcast on the UK’s Channel 4. Yes, the general masses were entrusted to cope with the unbearably odd mind of Noel Fielding. 23 minutes of unforgiving trippiness from Mr Fielding is enough to put anyone off of hallucinogens for life.

The Cat With Hands

The final video is probably not to be watched in the dark alone. Although for the desired effect this is exactly when you should watch it! “The Cat With Hands” brings to life a legend of a cat that wanted to be human. In achieving this goal it would steal body parts from its victims and then consume them. This video us somewhat a hidden gem with only just over 5000 views but it is arguably the most creative and best acted video from this list. Certainly not one for the faint hearted.
