Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion), Fredrik Wallin (bass), Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards) and Erik Bodin (drums) collectively have taken the world by storm since unleashing themselves to the world as the band we know as Little Dragon formed back in 1996. This edition of The Blend series we have Little Dragon and exciting news from the Electronic Soul Synth-Pop band about a new album tour on the way that naturally gets us a ‘little’ excited.
One could expect that the Swedish band will be showcasing their very unique blend of R&B, new wave, Electronica and Experimental Pop in true Little Dragon style – “An alternatively propulsive and delicate sound dictated by strains of electro and striking vocal coo of Yukimi Nagano” said Spin, couldn’t agree more. The band's name was inspired by the "Little Dragon" nickname Nagano earned due to the "fuming tantrums" she used to throw while recording in the studio. "It's a little exaggerated but there is some truth in it", Nagano said.
Little Dragon's successes have had them touring around the globe with their very unique sound and look respectively. The music video's they have released will demonstrate that which include track names "Test", "Twice", "Constant Surprises", "After the Rain" and "Fortune". The video for "Twice" was directed by award-winning Swedish filmmaker Johannes Nystrom.
