French DJ and Producer David Guetta has never really been synonymous with tasteful but it seems the cover art for the most recent 'F*** Me I'm Famous' compilation, curated annually with wife Cathy Guetta has caused enough public ire for the Australian Advertising Standard Board to have the outdoor poster art removed.
According to Mumbrella, the ASB ruled that the poster's outdoor placement makes it "likely to to be viewed by a broad audience which would include children. The Board considered that the content of the advertisement is not appropriate for viewing by children".
The advertisement, which features David Guetta cupping wife Cathy's breasts was deemed too inappropriate by The Board who added that "...in this instance, the F word is being alluded to in conjunction with an image of a near naked couple and is used in a sexual context (fuck me). The Board considered that a reference to "fuck me" is strong and would be considered obscene by many people and its use in outdoor media is not appropriate".
It seems perhaps in this instance, someone was in fact thinking of the children. Guetta is due to appear in Australia this year as part of the Stereosonic tour.
